Job Information

Cameron James is working in partnership with a Yorkshire based Food Manufacturer looking for an HR & Health & Safety Officer. Working within this type of environment is critical as the Health & Safety aspects are legal requirements and need close compliance.




Responsibilities:

Compliance across all aspects of Health & Safety within the site covering over 200 employees

Assessment of all processes and current practices both written and unwritten

Understanding of ISO requirements and qualifications in these to be able to advise across the site

Undertake communication and training to deliver effective changes and knowledge.

Regularly audit all systems and processes for Health & Safety

Understanding of HR processes and advisory elements covering grievance, disciplinary and absence

Supporting the HR team in delivering first line HR support and answers

Liaise with payroll to ensure all changes for holidays, pay rates, starters and leavers are accurate

Use HR systems and input data accurately.



The key requirements:

Nebosh Qualified

Have previously worked in a food manufacturing environment including high risk

Have ideally ISO9001 and ISO 14001/18001 would be desirable

Must be a driver due to rural location of the company

Have experience in communicating and embedding Health & Safety Processes and Policies in a FMCG environment

Understanding of HR and ideally CPP or CIPD qualification

Able to offer first line advice and support for Managers in HR queries
