This leading insurer within the charity market returns all profit made back in to the charity and makes a difference to over 400,000 children across the UK.
Due to expansion they now have an opportunity for a New Business Development Manager to create growth from their core markets.
Duties of the Business Development Manager:
Proactively bring in new business from the large corporate charity sector
Build a pipeline of major accounts to target, establish relationships and work with them to advise on their insurance needs
Prepare quotations, bids and tenders covering all technical advice and generally lead the sales process and win these big accounts over time
Identify and develop corporate partnerships with umbrella bodies and large membership based organisations in the not-for profit sector to identify new emerging business development opportunities, attending as required key client facing events
Deal directly with underwriters including Lloyds markets, broke and place business Preparation of all quotations, proposals and tenders, leading on the bid process, presenting these to the client and handling all subsequent negotiations both with the client and underwriters to win the business
Overall account management of newly acquired clients, claims issues and acting as a liaison between insurer and the client, negotiating a positive outcome.
To assist with the development of any existing key accounts
Requirements for the Business Development Manager:
Experienced Business Development manager with excellent commercial insurance background with outstanding account management experience
Experienced in all classes of commercial risks to be able to provide expert advice
Experienced in establishing relationships and wining business from large accounts
An Insurance Broking background
Knowledge and prior experience of charities and selling into charities/social enterprises
Experience of leading, preparing and presenting large tender bids
Knowledge and experience of FCA Compliance and TCF practices
Computer literate and experience of using insurance systems
Professional insurance qualifications : Cert CII essential, Diploma in Insurance
Ability to negotiate successfully with insurers to achieve best solutions for clients
