My Peterborough market leading client is currently recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to join their team on a 18 month fixed term contract position. The successful candidate will be working in a deadline driven, busy hands on team of 6.

The role will be completing the general accounts and delivering external reporting, in respect of statutory accounts, also providing technical financial accounting advice and guidance.

Ideal candidates will be qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA Qualified and have previous experience within a busy high volume environment, working to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy. You will have one direct report who will assist you to the day to day accounts.

Duties include:

• Producing and reviewing month end reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Fixed assets, disposals and work in progress entries
• Depreciation expenses
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Month end trial balance
• GL allocations and transfer pricing entries
• Reviewing depreciation expense entries
• Compliance of group finance month and quarter end
• Closing month end including accruals, prepayments and journals
• Finalising figures
• Presenting and approving figures to customers
• Group reporting to finance
• Period end adjustments
• Month end reporting including P&L variance commentary and cost line analysis
• Annual statutory financial statements and liaising with external auditors
• Producing annual statutory financial statements and liaising with external auditors.
• Producing ad hoc reports
