Cameron James Professional Services are working with a national charity who are looking for a Temporary HR Business Partner. Reporting to the Senior HRBP the HR Business partner will work in partnership with the managers in Head Office enabling them to achieve the requirements of the HR / Head Office departments business plans and performance targets

Responsibilities:

• To provide day to day advice and guidance on all HR issues in line with the organisations policies, procedures and guidelines.
• To ensure good employment practices are followed that are fair and reasonable, that promote the organisation’s commitment to equality and diversity and that meet statutory and legal requirements.
• In partnership with managers develop HR initiatives and solutions to aid the achievement of performance targets.
• To provide HR advice in the management of serious conduct, capability, grievance and employee relations issues, including the management of suspensions and investigations.
• To support designated managers and staff in the management of change including, department wide restructures, consultation, redundancies, changes to terms and conditions of employment, and business transfers.
• To work with the Senior HRBP on workforce issues relating to business development, including tenders, TUPE, and due diligence information.
• To assist with the recruitment and induction of head office managers, providing coaching / training in HR policy and practice as required.
• To work with managers to develop their recruitment plans and support all recruitment initiatives to ensure services are fully staffed in accordance with the agreed establishment.
• To undertake ad-hoc HR related projects as and when requested by the Head of HR. This may include researching, proposing and preparing reports prior to implementation.
• To provide assistance to HR colleagues in other geographical areas where an exceptional level of HR resource is required.
• To provide necessary support in collating documentation relating to Employment Tribunal claims and provide support at Employment Tribunal hearings as required.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

Person Specification:

• To be a Chartered Member of the CIPD
• Strong knowledge of current UK employment legislation and understanding of its application.
• To have experience of working within highly regulated environments and well established processes.
• To have experience of managing restructures and redundancies.
• To be willing to travel and stay away overnight occasionally.
• To have experience of working in a variety of employment sectors
• To have experience in international HR and knowledge of relevant employment legislation
• Experience in providing a comprehensive general HR advisory service with involvement in change management.
• To have an up-to-date working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Demonstrate strong partnership working with a variety of stakeholders.
• Experienced negotiator with proven successful results.
• Confident manner in dealing with a diverse range of people by using good interpersonal and influencing skills.
• An effective communicator with excellent written and presentation skills.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills including good IT skills
• Ability to prioritise work under pressure
• Able to work remotely and on own initiative.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
