Insurance Claims Handler
Location: Bedford
Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 + 5% Matched Pension + Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + Career Progression

Insurance Claims Handler:

• Manage a case load of up to 150 claims within the area of High Net Worth, Equine and Rural Insurance
• Take first notification of losses
• Attend client meetings
• Prepare claims histories
• Set internal reserves
• Ensure a rapid turnaround for all claims
• Ensure the customers receive the highest levels of customer service

Requirements for the Claims Handler Role:

• A confident and positive attitude
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Negotiating and influencing ability
• Organised, methodical and a good time manager
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
• Successful candidate should be able to work on own initiative and also as an integral part of a team

Knowledge and Experience Required:

• No previous experience in Insurance is necessary as full training will be given, although candidates with some knowledge of HNW broking or claims handling would be considered
• CII - Certificate in Insurance or prepared to work towards within the first 12 months of accepting the role
• Proficient in MS Office Applications, including Word and Excel
