Cameron James are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic, rapidly expanding retail business in the Manchester area in their search for a Management Accountant.
Our client, a truly international business operating across 22 countries are looking for an ambitious finance professional to join their team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has the drive and desire to progress their career within in a fast paced environment. There is the very real possibility that this role could develop to FC level within the next few years.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will encompass a variety of tasks including Accounting records, inventory management and effective communication between other functional departments and the businesses corporate team based in Italy.
The successful candidate will be able to create an excellent first impression, build long-lasting relationships with customers, internal and external, based on trust, professionalism and rapport. You will have the ability to overcome resistance and objections while delivering maximum satisfaction and demonstrate an open mind to change and always seek to improve your way of working, knowledge and attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Production of detailed monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, forecasts, cashflow forecast and detailed variance analysis of actual period and YTD results to budget
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Project accounting and cost / profit forecasting & analysis
• Stock and fixed asset accounting
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis

Key competencies:

• Good grounding in accounting principles
• ACCA/CIMA Part-qualified
• Proven skills and experience with people management issues
• Advanced knowledge of Excel e.g. Pivots and vlookups
• Knowledge of Goal (sales operation system)
• Experience and understanding of retail organisations.
• Previous working knowledge of Peoplesoft (JD Edwards)
• Previous working knowledge of HFM
