Job Description

• Manage the company's accounting and financial procedures, systems and reports in accordance with company law and good practice.
• Lead the Finance and Accounting team to optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position, and take overall control of the company's accounting function.
• Develop close working relationships with the Finance Director, other Board members and senior managers.
• Contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, and provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
• Develop and update a financial business model to project future results for the Business Plan and to provide support for acquisition analysis and negotiation.
• Ensure that the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
• Manage the company's cash flow and banking arrangements, and take ultimate responsibility for the company's cash management policies and position.
• Prepare and present timely management and financial accounts.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with the company's accountants, banks, and HMRC.Ensure that corporate budgeting processes are carried out effectively, and that results are reviewed regularly.
• Develop and implement new systems and procedures to improve service performance, especially invoicing and credits, the visibility of customer profitability, and employee productivity.
• Work with all employees and teams to grow the business and develop strategies and plans.
