Cameron James is working with a leading not for profit organisation in their search for a Part Time Finance Director.

We are looking for an adaptable Finance Director who is comfortable operating at board level, working alongside the CEO and senior management team while being a key player in shaping the future strategy of the organisation and to take a more hands on approach in the day to day running of the finance team.

• Work with the Board, the Chief Executive and senior management team to deliver the Strategic Business Plan and so position the organisation for success.
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports for the Chief
• Executive and Board, including production of the Annual Report and monitoring of a rolling business plan.
• Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and oversee the preparation of the annual budget in consultation with the Chief Executive and Board
• Ensure appropriate financial policies, processes and controls are in place, to meet all relevant legislative, regulatory, operational and accounting requirements.
• Manage reporting staff ensuring that they are appropriately trained and developed and that skills and abilities are deployed for optimum performance.

Key competencies:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Previous experience of working in a senior finance role
• Strategic minded individual comfortable operating at board level
• Experience of working in a not for profit organisation is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work in a hands-on manner in a busy environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly professional attitude and demeanor
• Strategic level of thinking
• Demonstrated ability to lead and direct managers in financial matters

Salary : £40,000 pro rata

Location : Leeds
