Our client is a medium sized not for profit organisation within the Education Sector; they are based in the City. They are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the business.

This varied and exciting role will include the following duties:

• To support the Head of Finance in the creation of the Management accounts
• Preparation of monthly income & expenditure reports for various departments, developing new reports as and when required, in conjunction with the Head of Finance.
• Statutory reporting and Audit
• Liaison with budget holders on actual figures and variance analysis for monthly commentary.
• Represent Finance on the Board
• To provide detailed analysis for the Head of Finance and budget holders as required.
• To support the Head of Finance in the creation of the annual budget
• To assist budget holders with the preparation of the annual budget.
• Maintenance of budget templates and periodic updates as required.
• Build & maintain relationships with all budget holders to assist them with control & understanding of their figures.
• Preparation of cash-flow forecasts for both the organisations core & long term development project.
• Monitoring and control of Capital Expenditure.
• Ensuring that the Fixed Asset Register is maintained and depreciation is correctly calculated.
• Reconciliation of control and balance sheet accounts as required.
• Maintenance of the accounting system.
• Managing the Finance Department



The ideal candidate will have significant experience within a high level Financial Controller role. You would need to be fully Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA. The role is available for an immediate start. Candidates with experience of not for profit, charity, public sector would be of particular interest to my client.
