Job Information

My Client is looking for a Senior Finance Officer to join their expanding accounts team. We are looking for someone who has worked in the education sector. This role would suit someone who is hard working and articulate. You will be working as part of the accounts team and will be reporting directly in to the CFO.

Main Duties

• Preparation of monthly budget monitoring reports and scrutinising budget variances.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts (accruals basis) and month end reporting
• Working with the finance staff within the Central Office to ensure efficient processing financial transactions
• Providing financial support to Principals ensuring strategic and operational decisions are made based on sound financial data.
• Providing requested financial information to Principals, CFO, Auditors and Governors as required.
• Supporting the CFO in undertaking finance due diligence checks
• Perform financial administration tasks in helping to maintain an effective and flexible office.
• These duties may be amended from time to time by the line manager in consultation with the post holder
• Ideal Candidate
• Previous experience in an accounting / finance environment
• Studying for a recognised accounting qualification (desirable)
• Minimum of A level education or equivalent

This role will suit someone who is looking to fully get involved in a role and work as part of a busy team. For this position, my client is offering a competitive salary of circa £40,000 dependant on experience as well as multiple other benefits.
