My Reading based client are currently recruiting for a Finance and Payroll Executive on a permanent basis to join their busy team. Although successful candidates will have previous experience within payroll, it is also essential to have finance experience as well as the role will be split so that you will be dealing with all payroll for 2 weeks of the month and finance for the other 2 weeks.

The role will include:

Payroll

• Managing all aspects of the monthly payroll process including Irish payroll
• Collating necessary information and submitting to the payroll outsourcing company
• Reviewing output from payroll outsourcing company
• Administering tax year end process
• Processing expenses

Finance

• Preparing and reviewing staff cost variance analysis
• Preparing and circulating monthly department spend reports and variances
• Completing the monthly closing
• Accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
• Preparing and posting financial information with the three payrolls
• Analysing actual and forecasting reports
• Monthly and quarterly reconciliations of control accounts and trial balance
• Reviewing internal processes and procedures and recommending changes to improve output

Key skills:

• Ideally studying CIMA/ACCA/CIPP qualification
• Experience dealing with outsourced payroll provider
• Agresso/SAP experience ideal but not essential
• Ability to work to deadlines and excellent accuracy skills

Offering competitive salary of up to c£40k, dependent on experience with a discretionary bonus. Location based near a train station and parking available close by.
