Cameron James are currently looking to recruit an experienced and capable Part Time Receptionist on behalf of a Huddersfield based logistics business.
The role consists of working 24 hours a week either morning or afternoons on a rota basis. One week will be 8.30 to 1.15pm followed by 1.00pm to 5.45pm.
This role would be ideal for someone who is looking for a high degree of flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• To maintain professional conduct and represent the company positively to customers, suppliers and the public
• Responsible for the smooth running and upkeep of the Huddersfield Reception area and all associated duties as outlined below.
• Training cover reception staff in all applicable duties.
• Organising cover for reception for holidays/sickness using the current rota in place.
• Answering incoming telephone calls and directing them to the relevant department.
• Typing for Managers as and when required (time permitting).
• Using the internal tannoy system.
• Liaising with the telephone service providers for all faults (within office hours).
• Welcoming and looking after visitors in reception ensuring they follow the correct signing in process.
• Operating the security barrier ensuring that all visitors are expected by the person/organisation to whom they are reporting. Collating, enveloping and franking outgoing post and responsibility for all associated equipment.
• Keeping all internal contact lists/directories updated. eg location addresses, telephone number lists.
• To arrange courier post for departments using Proactis to create purchase orders.
• Arrange lunches for meeting as and when requested.
• Re-set employee swipe cards when necessary, ensuring that all related information is logged.
• Maintain the Outlook data directory, as and when requested by line managers,.ensuring all new starter details are added, changes in employee details are updated and leavers are removed.

Key competencies:

• High level of verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of using a switchboard/working on a busy reception desk
• Flexibility regarding working hours to provide holiday cover when necessary
• Good administration skills
• Experience of using Microsoft packages
