We are working with a well-established facilities management business, which is looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to join the business on a one year maternity cover contract.

Working within a busy HR team, the role will report into the HR Manager and will be a varied and hands on generalist HR role - with emphasis on ER. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Supporting around 2500 employees with all aspects of HR support
• Managing a case load of ER cases - dealing with all areas of general Employee Relations - Grievances, Disciplinary, Time-keeping, Long-term sickness, performance management and absence management etc
• Advising managers in disciplinary meetings and tribunals, documenting all relevant information and producing written outcomes on day-to-day cases.
• Producing HR reports for accounts and payroll - starters, leavers, changes in contracts etc
• Involved in Training and new starter inductions, on-boarding, off boarding and co-ordinating the new starter and leaver processes.
• Involved on HR IT projects - implementing a new HR system
• Assisting managers with changes, in particular TUPE, in accordance with Employment Law and in consultation with Trade Unions.
• Dealing with all HR queries around HR Best practice, HR policies and procedures. Dealing wth any HR queries from employees.
• Assisting the HR Manager to constantly improve HR service.
• Carry out specific people development activities as and when required.

This is a varied and hands on HR Advisor role, with good exposure to all aspects of the department. Candidates will ideally be CIPD Qualified (although not essential) and must have experience working at a HR Advisor level.

Proven ER experience is essential and candidates will need to have a good understanding of the disciplinary process, in addition to coaching and advising managers

It would be a distinct advantage if candidates have had experience dealing with a predominantly blue collar working environment.
Ideally candidates will be available immediately, asa this role is an immediate start.
