Trainee SME Insurance broker : North Leeds - Excellent Salary and prospects!

Our client is an Independent Chartered Insurance Broker with a strong presence in North Leeds.

Due to continued growth they are now looking to expand its broking department with a new role for a Trainee SME Insurance Broker.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Negotiate with Underwriters in placing, amending or renewing clients’ insurance programmes.
• Ensure all broking documentation associated with placing, amending or renewing clients’ insurance programmes is completed in a reasonable timescale and is accurate.
• Provide risk advice/risk management/risk prevention information on both Commercial Motor and Non-Motor risks to customers, in conjunction with Underwriters as appropriate.
• Any other duties, as required by the SME Insurance Broker Manager, in accordance with the nature of this position.



Requirements:

• Sound technical knowledge of different commercial insurance products.
• Underwriting and rating factors, and how these are applied in relation to all major classes of Commercial insurance.
• Experience in providing specialised sales advice in the insurance market
• An understanding of the insurance market
• Good telephone manner
• Our client will consider Graduates or candidates qualified to A-Levels

The office is easily accessible and has good access to the rail network.

Those with or working towards a CII qualification will have an advantage and you will be encouraged to continue your professional development.

Salary DOE to £18,000
