Job Information

We are working with a large public sector organisation and they are recruiting for an experienced Head of HR to join the organisation.

Reporting into the CEO and Senior Directors, the main focus of the role will be responsible for heading up the HR function for the business. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

•Overseeing and responsible for a team of 15 people within the HR function
•Working closely with the CEO and Directors - working as part of the senior management team, attending senior meetings etc
•Responsible for the strategic leadership of the HR function and ensuring the people strategy and core values of the business are embedded into the workforce
•Working on and leading high profile projects within the business - IT implementation project for HR, Employer of choice
•Provide expert advice and guidance on all HR matters to the CEO and senior management team
•Lead on workforce development, organisational cultural change and people strategy transformation
•Manage the HR budget, annual strategy and direction of the department and wider organisation
•Focus on continual improvement of the department, ensuring that HR best practice is followed and regularly reviewed.

For this role it is essential that candidates have worked at a similar level and are ideally fully qualified CIPD (or actively studying).

Experience within the public sector is required and candidates must have proven experience working at a strategic and senior management level.
