Our client is a medium sized not for profit organisation; they are based near to Farringdon. They are looking for a Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant to join the business. The role offer genuine development opportunities to progress to the Financial Controller level

This varied and exciting role will include the following duties:

• Preparing quarterly financial reports for officers, which include an income statement, balance sheet and cash flow and forecasts
• Reporting variances against budget and comment thereon
• Preparing the annual accounts for independent review by auditors
• Preparing financial budgets : Profit & Loss & Cash
• Ensuring adequate internal financial controls are in place
• Reviewing finance and accounts to ensure that best practice is always maintained
• Formulation and preparation of management charges between companies
• Timely Annual Membership Subscriptions
• Bank Reconciliations
• Manage Credit control /Debtors and cash collection
• Review Petty Cash
• Quarterly VAT returns for
• Controlling the debtors and creditors ledgers
• Make bank payments to supplier in a timely manner
• Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled quarterly
• Ensuring bank accounts are efficiently and effectively maintained including Treasury deposits
• Maintain all nominal ledger accounts

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & competencies for role:

• Qualified/Part qualified Accountant or well qualified by experience
• Sage Line 50
• Competent Excel skills
• Good IT skills including Office & Word
• Self-starter and able to work without supervision after initial settling in period
• Professional approach to accounting
• Good written reporting skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills
