Job Information

We are working with a well-established distribution company in based in London, which is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the company.

Working in an established HR team of 5, reporting to the HR Director and covering the HR Assistant. The role will involve assisting with the HR function for the business, covering approximately 200 employees.

Key responsibilities include;

• Providing a comprehensive HR service to line managers, employees and the business
• Managing recruitment and retention : Responsible for interviews, contracts of employment and inductions.
• Assisting with Training and Learning and Development : Training programmes and employee development, providing assistance on training and development solutions as well as evaluating training.
• Advice and support to employees on company benefits and pensions.
• Evaluate the benefits annually to ensure they are up to date and relevant.
• Employee Relations: Managing absence, sickness, disciplinaries and maternity and paternity : as well as advising employees on such matters.
• Assisting with complex HR issues such as redundancy and change management.
• Completing regular HR reports.
• Policies and procedures : Ensuring all policies and the Employee Handbook are legally compliant and up to date.
• Ensuring payroll is completely accurately each month.
• Ensuring all HR administration is completed accurately and to relevant time scales
• Providing any financial information that may be required.
• Complying fully with the Company’s Equal Opportunities Policy, ensuring and promoting equal opportunities in the work place.
• Ensuring the working environment is free from any discrimination. Bringing any cases of actual or perceived discrimination to the attention of the line managers and ensure it dealt with appropriately.
• Providing suggestions on how to best recruit on social media.



Candidates must be CIPD Qualified, preferably to level 7 : will consider level 5 if the candidate is looking to progress.
