My client, a leading Walsall based distributor is offering an excellent opportunity for a bright, numerate candidate to join their Payroll team. As no previous Payroll experience is necessary this is a really good opportunity for a candidate who is looking to start a career in Accountancy.

This opportunity, within an expanding organisation based in the Walsall area, focuses upon processing the payroll for multiple entities. Working within a payroll team of two, this role reports into the Senior Payroll Clerk.

You will ideally have attained good GCSE or A Level results and be committed to building a career in Finance. If this sounds like you then please get in touch.

Main duties:

• Processing a payroll for 800 people
• Working on a range of weekly, bi-weekly and monthly timescales
• Performing statutory deductions
• Assisting with pension scheme
• Processing expense claims
• Reconciling payroll

Ideal candidate:

• Bright, numerate individual with the ability to pick things up quickly.
• Good GCSE or A Level Maths grades.
• A desire to build a lasting career in Finance.
• IT literate, ideally with a good grasp of Excel.
