High Net Worth Insurance Underwriter : Colchester

Salary up to £35,000 DOE+ Bonus & Benefits

Our client is a Major National Broker who due to expansion is looking for a HNW Underwriter for this new position.

Manage a case load of the High Net Worth underwriting in order to deliver a service where the insurance needs of our customers are met.

Requirements

* Experienced household underwriter, ideally with High Net Worth experience.
* Motivated by working to deadlines and target delivery.
* Ability to learn and trade a variety of different products.
* Able to balance the dual requirements of sales and underwriting.
* Deal with new business enquiries, renewals and mid-term adjustments within authority.
* Ensure that service standards are achieved.
* Work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation, when required.
* Comply with Binder, procedures and underwriting authority levels.
* Contribute towards business Net Written Premium (NWP) objectives whilst working towards the businesses annual Target Loss Ratios.
* To undertake training in line with agreed objectives and keep up-to-date with technical, legal and market developments via use of e-learning, internal training and reading market related material.
* To maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as on-going at desk training and ensuring that this is recorded in line with Training & Competency requirements.
* To conduct the business of the Company at all times in a courteous and efficient manner.

Experience Required

* Experienced household underwriter, ideally with High Net Worth experience.
* Motivated by working to deadlines and target delivery.
* Ability to learn and trade a variety of different products.
* Able to balance the dual requirements of sales and underwriting.
* Strong trading capability and evidence in delivery
* Excellent interpersonal/communication/sales/negotiation skills.
* Able to absorb and apply technical product knowledge.
* Team player.
* Enthusiastic.
* Effective time management skills.
* Customer focused.
