We are working with a leading financial services organisation and they are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business.

This is an immediate need, so ideally candidates will be able to start ASAP or on a short notice period.

Working as part of a wider HR team, the role will be responsible for managing the HR function of the Birmingham office - reporting into the London Head of HR. As this is a stand alone HR role, candidates must be confident working independently and managing their own workload.

Key duties and responsibilities will include;
•Providing HR support to around 120 employees
•Draft and issue employment contracts and employee info relating to starters, leavers and any additional HR matters
•Advising and supporting line managers across the business on employee relation issues such as performance management, absence management, probation, etc
•Providing advice and support to line managers with disciplinary, capability and grievance issues
•Conducting exit interviews: monitoring and reporting any issues/themes to the Managing Director and Head of HR
•Managing and maintaining HR systems, files and databases
•Providing data for regular monthly reporting to London and / or the international HO
•Updating HR policies and procedures where necessary
•Undertaking HR administration processing for HR transactions
•Coaching and mentoring line managers on best practice
•Coordinating and supporting recruitment activity
•Liaising with the Payroll Manager in London relating to monthly payroll changes, completing pension and benefits administration
•Assisting with Head of HR and working on global projects across the business.

For this role it is essential that candidates have worked at a similar level and have a good grounding within HR. CIPD Qualified or studying towards this qualification would be an advantage.

Ideally candidates will have worked in a stand alone capacity, and hold rounded generalist HR experience, including solid ER experience.

The successful candidate is likely to have a natural affinity for MS Excel and HR systems and be comfortable with collating, presenting and interpreting data

Financial Services / Banking / Asset Management experience would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.
