We are working with a well established PR / Communications business and they are recruiting for an experienced Director of Learning to join the business.

Reporting into the MD the role will be working at a senior level and be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of the L&D function.They are looking for someone who can be involved with strategic areas of the business, working closely with senior Directors and the Board.

The focus of the role will be to help drive a culture of learning and knowledge through development of strategies and plans to evolve the training function and to act as a strong leader and ambassador internally.

Key duties and Responsibilities will include;
•Working with the Leadership of the business to ensure that our training offer meets business needs on an on-going basis
•Overseeing the Learning team - Learning Manager and Administrator (who will manage the scheduling and delivery of the offer)
•Selecting and relationship management of external and internal training providers
•Running some training sessions
•Communicating and advocating the L&D programme
•Support the development of our Leadership Academy - Work closely with the Senior Directors to develop a new programme for our senior leaders
•Oversee and improve the internal learning platform used by the business - Lead the prioritisation and development of content for the platform, working with a range of internal stakeholders
•Design face to face induction and on-going support (mentor programme) for Graduate intake
•Ensure a regular pipeline of content for weekly knowledge share (lunch and learn sessions)
•Work with the HR team to ensure smooth induction of new joiners

For this role candidates will need to have proven experience working at this level and be confident heading up the L&D function and working as part of the senior management team.

Candidates will need to have strong L&D experience, hold strong influencing skills and the gravitas and credibility to operate at a senior level with our leadership team.

It is essential that candidates hold knowledge and experience within a consultancy environment - PR / Communications / Marketing (or similar) industry.
