Our client is a global professional services company based in Central London they are looking for a Assistant Management Accountant to join the business. This exciting and varied role will include the following duties:

The Assistant Management Accountant reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works with the team to deliver financial reporting and analyse ongoing business performance.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with the Chief Financial Officer and the Regional Finance Manager to understand the ongoing performance of each of the entities.
• Managing unbilled, deferred/accrued income and Revenue recognition, and produce monthly reconciliations of each for Month End;
• Ensure that all billable expenses have been billed onto the client in line with their contract
• Double entry
• Deal with customer and supplier queries
• Undertake a monthly review of all existing projects and all new projects : review project profitability and advise on project accruals for expenses
• Process AP, cash book, and billing for Europe entities
• Bank reconciliation
• Review all client invoices and ensure that project leaders have signed off invoices and received copies;
• Working with the Chief Financial Officer and the Regional Finance Manager to produce monthly management accounts, with particular emphasis on the Profit and Loss Account of each entity, and ensuring that all relevant steps in the Europe Month End Close process have been completed;
• Ad-hoc requests, analysis and projects.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• AAT, ACCA or CIMA (part-qualified or qualified)
• Previous experience as an Assistant Management Accountant in a professional services organisation essential.
• Fluent written and spoken English essential
• Undergraduate education essential in related field
• Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills essential
• Good working knowledge of Job Costing systems and Work In Progress management
• Experience and practical understanding of financial requirements in various European countries
• MS Office with sound skills in Excel
• Previous experience working with NetSuites desired but not essential
• Good working knowledge of UK and European VAT
