Job Information

Cameron James is working with a busy Public Sector Organisation who is looking to expand their growing HR Department with a HR Administrator on a 12 month contract. Working in an established HR team of 6, you will be reporting in to the HR Section Manager, main duties include:

• General HR Administration including Starters, Leavers, Contracts - ensuring that all contractual information is accurate and issued within 8 weeks of appointment, Onboarding, References, DBS and Clearances.
• Liaising with other similar organisations, the DBS Umbrella Body, Pensions Partnerships and the Home Office.
• Retrieve data from the HR system to provide statistical information, including analysis of employees. Provide this information on a regular basis in a timely manner and at the request of external bodies.
• Maintain and update the HR Database on a daily basis and establish any chances any details and changes for new starters and current employees. Update any changes such new starters, terminations and leavers.
• Administration of the DBS Clearance process to ensure DBS checks are complete in a timely manner for all relevant employees, highlight and notify any disclosures to the HR Section Manager.
• Administer the sickness processes, including monitoring and updating the relevant computer systems, chase outstanding sick forms and certificates and ensure the relevant information is provided and up to date.
• Also maintain the Statutory Sick Pay Scheme and advise employees on the reduced pay rates due to sickness and inform payroll when necessary.
• Support the implementation of the new HR system within the HR Team (I-Trent)
• To administer the Hay Job Evaluation Process and participate in the evaluations to ensure that employees receive the appropriate payments.

The Candidate:

• You must have experience working with the I-Trent System
• Experience working in Public Sector organisation is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working in a HR team is essential
• You must be confident and have good communication skills both written and verbal.
