We are working with an established manufacturing group and they are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join the business.

Reporting into the HR Manager, the role will be working as sole HR lead on the site, providing support to around 100 employees. The position is a varied and hands on generalist role. Key duties and responsibilities will include;

•Deliver a comprehensive HR service to around 100 employees on site
•Provide advice on best practice HR, including advising on HR policies, procedures and queries from employees
•Supporting managers with a wide range of HR areas including; employee relations, compensation and benefits, reward, staff development, communications and performance management
•Dealing with all aspects of recruitment - Co-ordinating recruitment activities, providing managers with guidance and assistance, liasing with agencies, screening and interviewing
•Full employee life cycle work including managing the full on-boarding process, inductions, probation reviews, leavers
•Proving advice, support and coaching to managers on ER issues - including disciplinary/grievance meetings, sickness, absence
•Providing managers and employees advice on Employment law and HR policies and esculating senior issues to the HR Manager
•HR administration and updating employee records
•Working on various projects including training and promotion of policies
•Knowlege of Health & Safety and how this impacts HR and ER cases

For this role it is essential that candidates have proven experience working at this level and have a good grounding within HR. Ideally candidates will be studying or hold CIPD and have good alround generalist experience.

Ideally candidates will have experience working within manufacturing, engineering or similar industrial industry experience. If candidates have worked in a stand alone HR or remote working HR role, this would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to liase with mangers of all levels. Experience of dealing with a majority blue collar workforce would be advantageous.
