Our client is a Lloyds of London broker based at Canary Wharf; they are looking for a Business Analyst to join the business. This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. As part of the Company’s finance team, you will be evaluating complex risks and the potential financial consequences of those risks.

Key duties:

• Use data and mathematical modelling techniques and statistical concepts.
• Data verification.
• Determine probability, assessing and monitoring risk.
• Analyse reports and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements, consider the opportunities and potential risks attached to the suggestions you have made.
• Analysing statistical data in order to make calculations.
• Preparing presentations, reports, valuations and quarterly updates. Presenting reports and explaining their implications to managers.
• Ensure recommendations are compliant and in line with the requirements of regulatory bodies.
• Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole.
• Communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern. Support staff with the implemented changes, helping to resolve any issues.
• Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
• Benchmarking of prices.
• Assisting with audits, internal and external.
• Reviewing processes.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of economics and of the legislation relating to Insurance market. You will also need to be currently studying towards your CT Qualifications and be Part or Fully Qualified
