Our client is a fast growing wholesaler based in East London, they are seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Manager due to business expansion.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is to take in charge of financial management and reporting, preparing regular management accounts, provide financial statements, forecasts and analysis, implement corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls, lead and drive to reduce costs and increase profitability through strong professional knowledge and business acumen.

To be considered, you will be fully qualified in ACCA/ACA or CIMA with the credibility to work along with senior management team, have extensive experience in financial controlling and management accounts, ideally in a wholesale/retail/logistics environment, possess strong communication skills and commercially aware.

Key duties include:

• Providing and interpreting financial information.
• Monitoring cash flows and predicting future trends.
• Analysing change and advising accordingly.
• Formulating strategic and long-term business plans.
• Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance.
• Analysing competitors and market trends.
• Developing financial management strategies that reduce financial risk.
• Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Managing the company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
• Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
• Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
• Supervising staff and managing shifts.
• Keeping up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation.
• Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements.
• Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning.
• Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance.
• Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure.
• Managing company budgets.
• Developing and managing financial systems/models.
• Carrying out business modelling and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as finance manager/financial analyst etc.
• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
• Proficient user of finance software.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Able to manage employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA or CIMA qualified.
• Able to speak Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is an advantage but not necessary
