Cameron James is currently working exclusively alongside a market leading Financial Services company within the Leeds area in their immediate search for an Operations Manager. My client is looking for a diligent, professional and highly efficient individual with demonstrable experience within the mortgage industry. Joining a growing and successful team, and reporting directly into the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for a variety of tasks, most notably the day to day management of a busy professional office. Other responsibilities include;

• Oversee the office ensuring all rules and policies are being adhered to.
• Developing strategic plans to benefit the business.
• Responsible for business development.
• Motivate and effectively performance manage team members ensuring delivery of the business plan.
• Analysing figures and creating reports and spreadsheets based on these.
• Carrying out market research and creating reports on business trends and gaps in the market.
• Ensuring that all policies and requirements remain fully compliant and are in accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority.
• Providing support to senior level management.
• Attending meetings alongside the Managing Director.
• Other ad-hoc duties.

This is a pivotal role within the company and would suit an Operations Manager ideally from an SME with demonstrable mortgage experience. My client is looking for a personable individual who he will be able to work extremely closely with and will be able to bounce ideas off. With roughly 12 direct reports, the Operations Manager must be a tactful individual whose strong man management skills get the best out of the workforce. The chosen candidate will have the business acumen required to run the business in the absence of the MD.

• Have first class organisational skills and be able to juggle numerous responsibilities at once.
• Be able to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines whilst ensuring quality of work is never compromised.
• Have strong communication skills both written and verbal.
