We are working exclusively with an established law firm with offices across the UK. They are recruiting for an experienced HR Generalist to work in a standalone role in their growing London Office.

Reporting into a remote based HR Director; the role is working in a standalone capacity, delivering a high quality, responsive, Generalist HR service to the Partners, Managers and staff for their London office (c80 employees)

Key duties and responsibilities will include;
•Working as part of a UK wide HR team (team of 6) - reporting into the HR Director
•Broad-based generalist role, providing advice and guidance to managers at an operational level, including hands-on transactional HR
•ER - supporting managers and staff on all ER issues such as: job changes, team relations, training and development, contract changes, sickness and other absences.
•Recruitment - sourcing, interviewing and selection of professional and support staff.
•Performance Management - monitoring the performance review system, supporting managers in completion of the appraisal process, and tackling under-performance.
•HR Advisory - Advising managers and staff on people policies, HR processes, employment law, and HR best practice.
•Talent Management - supporting managers to analyse resourcing needs and to plan for growth, advising them on skills development and succession planning.
•Engagement - Progressing new recruits from appointment through to delivering induction, supporting the managers to maintain motivation, encouraging effective communication between managers and their teams.
•Transactional HR - Dealing with contracts, payroll changes, updating HR policies, analysis of HR statistics and some HR administration
•HR Projects - Assist in a range of project work derived from the HR strategy, working closely with project teams, implementing project initiatives and values.

For this role it is essential that candidates have proven experience at this level and are confident working in a standalone (with remote reporting). CIPD Qualification is desired; however the experience and person attributes are most important.

It is essential that candidates have experience working for a similar organisation - Solicitors / Law Firm, Accountancy Practice or Chartered Surveyors etc.

This is a varied and hands on HR role, so candidates will need to have proven generalist HR experience and be confident working in a busy and fast paced position.
