We are working with a growing health care business and they are looking for an experienced HR Professional to work in a Stand-Alone capacity to manage HR for the business.

Reporting into the MD the role`s responsibilities involve providing HR advice and guidance across the business. Key duties will include;

• Reporting into the MD, responsible for all HR Advisory across the business - 1200 employees (14 sites). Full responsibility for the effective delivery of HR initiatives across the group
• Provide appropriate employment law advice to all areas of the business, highlighting potential risk. Providing support, guidance and training to managers on all aspects of ER (day to day issues, grievances, disciplinary etc.)
• Responsibility for identifying areas of risk and changes in legislation, and updating HR policies and procedures to reflect this
• Responsibility for ensuring group compliance in areas such as Immigration, DBS, Investigations, Disciplinary and Grievance, Mediation, Personnel files across the group
• Conducting full staff file audits in all 14 care homes, and ensuring that all outstanding documents are received (documents checked include signed contract, references and criminal records bureau checks)
• Maintain and up-date manual and computerised HR information systems i.e. Intranet, employee handbook
• Maintaining HR systems/monthly reporting for business trends, including sickness, agency spend, pensions, costs etc.
• Liaison with the Managing Director in producing the annual staffing ladders/budgets

For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience and be confident working in a standalone capacity. Recruitment and the full on-boarding function is dealt with by a separate team, so this role would appeal to HR candidates who enjoy the advisory aspect of HR and have good knowledge of ER and updating / rolling out HR procedures and initiatives.

There will be some travel (3-4 times per month) to other sites across London and the South.

Excellent role, with generalist HR exposure. Would be idea of an experienced HR Advisor looking for the next step or standalone HR Manager / HR Generalist.
