Cameron James is delighted to be partnering with a staunchly independent Leeds based brokerage who is seeking an SME Account Handler to join their team.

My client is seeking a candidate with a solid grounding in handing SME package insurances who has the ambition to develop into a corporate broking or account executive position in the longer term. With full responsibility for managing and growing your own book of business, this role would be ideal for someone seeking greater autonomy.

With over 40 years` experience of offering an exceptional level of customer service, our client combines all the attributes of a traditional community-based broker with a very modern, forward-thinking business model aimed at growing the business significantly over the next couple of years.

Responsibilities:

• Account Handling a book of SME clients (Shops, Offices, Restaurants, Property Owners)
• Dealing with client queries
• Processing new business, MTA`s and renewals
• Developing new business leads
• Acting as the first point of contact for claims

Key competencies:

• A grounding in commercial insurance
• A lively, outgoing personality
• Experience of using the Acturis trading platform would be highly desirable
• Cert CII or a willingness to work towards
