An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join a very highly regarded Leeds based Commercial Insurance Broker.
Our client, a staunchly independent broker, is seeking an Account Handler with a grounding in SME commercial business to offer back office support to an extensive network of remotely based Appointed Representatives. This is a very varied role that will offer the successful candidate exposure to a wide variety of commercial products.

Responsibilities:

• To act as the first point of contact to provide Appointed Representatives with the highest level of technical advice and administrative support
• To build and maintain an excellent rapport with both AR, carriers and underwriters
• To take ownership of all tasks and proactively manage priorities and deadlines
• Respond to queries in a timely and accurate manner.
• To provide relevant information to the sales team to ensure sales opportunities are realised.
• To produce and maintain accurate and complete documentation /correspondence.
• Produce high-quality correspondence, using standard templates, writing clearly, concisely and professionally.
• To log all business activity, ensuring revenue is accurately recorded and documented.

Key competencies:

• A grounding in commercial insurance products
• 2 years` experience gained in a commercial broking environment
• Ideally,have commenced studying towards CII qualifications or have a willingness to do so
• Experience of using the Acturis trading platform
