Job Information

An IFA Head of Operations / Senior Technical Analyst is required by a growing, top 100, financial planning firm providing services to both private and corporate clients. Directly authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to act as advisers, and are therefore able to provide clients with impartial advice in all areas.

Your main responsibilities will include

• Directly managing all non-advising staff
• Understanding of the sales process and provision of advice to clients in a compliant manner as detailed in the firm`s compliance manual and procedures
• Ensuring that all client records, electronic or paper based, are maintained and updated to a high standard
• Producing management information for the Board of Directors as required
• Auditing and ensuring that the agreed client and service propositions are being fully delivered ?and implemented
• Reviewing and developing procedures and templates to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient manner Managing the recruitment and induction process for all staff so as to ensure that only appropriately qualified and experienced staff fill the required roles
• High level of analytical capability and good communication skills
• Prior team management or operational experience would be highly advantageous
• Strong Pensions & Investments product knowledge
• Organising and maintaining the office premises and ensure everything runs smoothly



You will have attained the CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or be working towards it) and have previous operations / practice management and Technical Analysis experience within a financial planning firm. You will have a good understanding of UK financial services products, FCA regulations and AML and GDPR requirements. You will be familiar with recruitment and HR processes and will be highly IT literate. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
