Job Information

Small boutique firm of Wealth Advisors requires and Investment Analyst.

Purpose

• To be responsible for providing client portfolio reviews
• To carry out portfolio analysis
• To carry out fund and security trading

Main functions

• To manage, prepare and issue the client annual portfolio reviews month by month when they become due
• To undertake all fund switching and trading for client portfolios
• To monitor our recommended funds and undertake analysis on continued suitability on these funds and potential funds for inclusion in our portfolios

Detailed tasks and requirements

• Map client risk profiling data with agreed asset allocations
• Prepare revised client portfolios and agree with adviser
• Implement trades and monitor through to completion
• Communicate with clients and advisers
• Maintain comprehensive record keeping on trades and switching
• To provide a quarterly performance and suitability report
• To update client portfolios and holdings on IRESS
• To maintain record of maturing client deposit accounts and provide list of potential new terms

Other key tasks

• Take an active role in investment committee meeting decisions and maintain log of meetings and minutes
• Provide updates on funds to advisers
• Ensure comprehensive knowledge of platform systems and maintain record of ongoing provider suitability
• Offer ideas to improve the reporting systems and reviews
• Provide fund information, economic data and market information to advisers

Knowledge and research

• Understanding of markets and current financial conditions through reading journals, articles and specialist papers and publications including subscription services to ensure awareness of markets including FT.com, Credit Writedowns, Money Week, TS Lombard, Financial Adviser and investment companies
• Reading of detailed subject matter on investment matters and books
• Use of outsourced tools and analytical systems such as Fastrack, FE Analytics and Stockopedia
• Study for IMC

Qualifications

• Minimum A level education, preferably University degree
• Keen interest in markets, economy and investment
• Very proficient on excel and spreadsheets
• Experience of trading, platforms and investments preferred
