Job Information

Our client are experts within finished logistics managing more than 2.5 million vehicles annually on behalf of OEM’s, rental, leasing companies and dealerships. Our automotive, 3PL, operations include Port and Vessel management, PDI and Technical services, Logistics, OEM company car program management, Defleet, Refurbishment and Storage. All our services are underpinned by our in-house technology, developed by our 4PL operation. GBA’s OneView platform provides total transparency of all vehicles from factory door to distributor/consumer. In addition, our vastly experienced 4PL Control Tower team utilise the proprietary technology to manage the Global distribution of Automotive and non-automotive product.

Due to continual growth, we are seeking a Commercial Assistant in order to assist the Commercial, Finance and Operational team in delivering effective pricing solutions across our portfolio of clients, new and existing.

Responsibilities for Commercial Assistant/Analyst

• Assisting in providing commercial advice and support to the operations teams

• Lead pricing activity with the assistance of Finance and Operations

• Providing support and advice on the preparation of contract variations and change notices

• Assisting and reviewing the application of contract specific queries

• Assisting in providing all contractually required cost/commercial/financial information to the client

• Providing a central point of contact for contractual/legal/financial performance knowledge/issues/queries

• Identifying opportunities within the contract and manage any recognised risks

• Provide administrative support for all commercial activity including diary management, minutes and process reviews,

• Responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of the Commercial Opportunities Database

• Own the maintenance and upkeep of the supplier management database

Qualifications for Commercial Assistant/Analyst

• Highly flexible, highly organized and numerate

• Exceptional attention to detail and highly numerate

• Willingness to work early mornings or late nights to accommodate Global clients

• Computer literate - demonstratable excel modelling

• Degree from an accredited University or College required (or similar time served experience)

• Good problem-solving skills, the ability to make suggestions to improve efficiencies

• Preferably 4 years of relevant working experience in Customer Service/ Logistics/ Shipping
