Job Information

Working in partnership with a large housing company based in West Yorkshire we are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join their very busy, and highly successful team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
 
In this role you will develop professional relationships with Directors and Managers to support them in managing effectively, all HR related issues in line with company policies and procedures and legislative requirements.

As a HR Business Partner, you will:
 
·        Have extensive experience of working with unions
·        Manage case work on a day to day basis, including disciplinaries, grievances and attendance management for approx. 250 employees
·        Ensure that advice and guidance to managers and colleagues is ethical,
·        timely and pragmatic and represents best practice
·        Support the HR & OD Manager with complex cases including for example conduct, capability, performance and TUPE.
·        Coach managers equipping them with necessary information and knowledge in HR policies and procedures to become self-sufficient
·        Provide advice on formal meetings/hearings as directed by the HR &OD Manager (HR).
·        Ensure HR policies and procedures and all associated guidance documents are maintained and kept up to date to reflect best practice and current employment law legislation.
·        Support employee engagement through formal consultation processes (e.g. directorate level consultative processes/restructure processes) and develop constructive working relationships with managers and union colleagues.

The successful candidate will:
 
·        Be MCIPD qualified or be able to demonstrate extensive experience
·        Have extensive experience of working with unions
·        Have vast experience of case work, including disciplinaries, grievance hearings and managing attendance
·        Have experience in providing technical advice and advisory support to employees and managers at all levels
·        Have experience in dealing with restructures/redundancy/retraining and redeployment processes
·        Have practical experience of juggling work priorities within a busy working environment.
·        Be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to prepare reports
·        Be adaptable and flexible to meet changing work priorities.
·        Be able to organise and manage own workload to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
