 Working in partnership with an established public sector organisation we are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Advisor (Content Acquisitions Specialist) to join their very successful team in Wetherby.  This is a permanent role working as part of the Legal and Contracts Services team performing a wide range of contract support activities.
 
As the Contracts Advisor you will be required to:
 
·        Be the first point of contact for advice on contractual matters
·        Perform a wide range of contract support activities including drafting, reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating many different forms of contractual documentation, including licences with publishers/vendors.
·        Interpret and advise on such contractual arrangements in order for the Company to deliver against its’ strategic objectives
·        Support the promotion and development of contracting best practice throughout the organisation.
·        Work closely with stakeholders in the relevant business areas
·        Lead on developing and implementing proposals to improve existing workflows and processes, including opportunities for improved use of technology
 
The successful candidate should have:
 
·        A legal or contract drafting qualification
·        Proven experience in negotiating, drafting, and amending contracts and licence agreements.
·        Wide knowledge and experience of the publishing industry, particularly publisher contracts and licences
·        The ability to prioritise a large workload, whilst managing customer expectations are essential.
·        Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly, to internal and external stakeholders
·        Experience working in a similar role in a public sector environment, would also be an advantage
 
In return you will receive a salary of £35,750 per annum for working 36 hours per week, 25days annual leave plus bank holidays, contributory pension scheme of 20.6%, flexible working hours scheme and the option to take up to 5days flexi leave every quarter which is additional to the standard holidays, free car parking, subsidised canteen, and cycle to work scheme.
The role is completely home based at the moment but will still be partly home based when restrictions are lifted.
