Our client is one the UK’s largest providers of telematics car insurance. They use innovative I-box and app technology to monitor customers driving behavior to offer a competitive insurance premiums and rewards to customers. The business is growing rapidly to accommodate the needs of their growing customer portfolio.

The purpose of the role of Compliance Manager is to manage the compliance function of the business and ensure they meet and exceed their wide-ranging regulatory obligations. This role is a key role within the management team of our client and offers excellent career potential and Scope for growth towards a position in the Management team as Head of Compliance

 

 

            Specific Responsibilities:       

 

·         Developing and promoting a strong compliance culture across the business

·         Developing and maintaining our suite of policies and regulatory procedures

·         Work with the Board to manage the risk appetite of the business

·         Lead an independently minded, risk-based monitoring approach of procedures and processes deigned to identify and close any gaps

·         Prepare reporting for senior management and regulatory bodies as required

·         Provide advice and guidance to management and colleagues in relation to any new initiatives as far as regulatory, compliance and due diligence matters are concerned

·         Initiate, develop and maintain strong business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, specifically among our insurer partners

·         Oversee the compliance function of the business. Setting clear and challenging objectives for each team and team member

·         Stay up to date with current regulatory trends, best practice and changes that will affect the business

·         Develop and manage an annual regulatory and compliance review programme

·         Take a lead role in communications and relations with regulatory bodies

·         Manage the contribution of the client’s 3rd Party Compliance Consultancy

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 

·         A Strong working knowledge of the UK regulatory framework within the insurance Sector

·         Demonstrable experience of operating in a regulated UK or International sector

·         Good working knowledge of the wider business operation and its key metrics

·         Demonstrable experience of developing and leading high-performance teams

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Excellent presentational skills

·         Strong influencing capabilities

·         A degree in Law and or suitable compliance qualifications

·         Ability to manage projects and initiatives to tight schedules and deadlines

·         Ability to prioritise and schedule workload to be in line with business objectives
