We are working with a leading construction /property group and they are recruiting for a HR Coordinator / HR Officer to join the business.
 
Reporting into the Finance Director, the role would involve supporting the business with all areas of generalist HR across 2 sites - c140 employees. This is an exciting role that offers great scope to take on more responsibility and would be ideal for an ambitious HR professional looking to obtain experience across all areas of HR. Key duties and responsibilities would include;
 
-Manage all areas of day to day HR for 140 employees (across 2 sites), being the first point of contact for all HR areas for the business
-Providing generalist HR support dealing with all initial HR queries and administration
-Reviewing and updating of all current HR policies and procedures, ensuring effective HR procedures are in place and providing a HR healthceck of the business
-Managing the full on-boarding process, from initial offer and including liaising with line managers regarding new-starter progress during probation
-Assisting the business with future HR strategies, including diversity and inclusion, employee engagement and supporting the business with growth plans and expansion
-Responsible for Full employee life cycle duties
-Managing recruitment activities, including writing JD's, supporting recruiting managers, advertising roles, assisting with short-listing, interviewing candidates, managing new starter information, references, offer letters etc.
-Provide and collate all payroll information, including commissions, sick leave etc and submit to the payroll team
-Responsibility for both regular and ad-hoc HR reporting, including weekly people report, site headcount information and recruitment forecasting
-Supporting on day to day HR matters, including attending ER meetings, note taking and supporting the Directors with ER queries.
-Report to management team on early careers numbers e.g. apprentices, graduates and industrial placement students
-Main contact for apprenticeship queries; both directly employed apprentices and apprentices within supply chain
-Work with schools, colleges and universities supporting a range of initiatives to promote industry image and support entry routes into the industry
 
For this role it is essential that candidates have proven HR experience at this level and ideally are studying towards CIPD (full support will be provided). Solid HR administration experience is essential, with the ability to review and put forward ideas on HR best practice.
 
There is great scope to take on more responsibility, so candidates will need to be actively looking to progress a career in HR and be confident working in a stand alone HR capacity. The ability to work in a fast a fast paced, corporate and busy environment is essential.
 
Experience within construction, property or similar industry would be advantageous, although not essential.
