Working in partnership with one of the UK’s top manufacturing companies based in Yorkshire we are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their very successful team, supporting the Commercial Directors business areas.
This is a permanent role working 4 days per week and there will be some occasional travel required across different sites in the UK, you can be based in either the Bradford or South Yorkshire offices.
 
You will be a key member of the HR team, reporting into the Senior HRBP, taking responsibility for specific business units across the UK, supporting c650 direct employees and c1500 self-employed contractors.
 
As the HR Business Partner your key duties and responsibilities will include:
 
·        To advise managers and staff on matters across the whole spectrum of human resources.
·        To assist and advise in the investigation of disciplinary and grievance cases, maintaining an awareness of current legislation and its application ensuring that policies and procedures are amended accordingly.
·        Work closely with Trade Union representatives as required and provide quality advice to managers in respect of employee relations’ issues to support the delivery of an effective service.
·        To assist and advise in the implementation of staff appraisals and performance monitoring to ensure training and coaching requirements are met.
·        Ensure positive employee engagement by driving improved communications.
·        Provide advice and support line managers and the business with employment law queries.
·        Liaise directly with the functional managers and directors, so an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior level employees is required.
·        Some travel to different sites when required across England and Wales.
 
The successful candidate should:
 
·        Be CIPD qualified with strong HR experience.
·        Previous experience of working with unions is essential for this role.
·        Previous experience of working within the manufacturing or similar industry would be highly desirable.
·        The ability to perform under pressure and be able to prioritise your own workload whilst supporting your team.
·        Have engaging communication skills, both over the telephone and face to face.
·        Be a team player with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude.
·        Be proficient with MS packages.
 
In return you will receive a salary of up to £33,000 depending on experience for working 4 days per week, car allowance, 25 days annual leave - plus bank holidays (pro rata), free parking at most of the sites, flexibility with some home working, 4% pension contribution.  Working hours are 4 days between Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm.
