We are working exclusively with a growing SME Manufacturing business and they are currently recruiting for an MD to join the business.
 
The company is easily commutable from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley and Birmingham.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and successful business that has seen excellent growth over the last 2-3 years and has exiting plans to grow the business further and expand their market share in the industry.
 
For this role they will consider either experienced Commercial / Operational / Senior GM’s who are ready and looking for the next step up or a seasoned MD who is looking for a role where they can work autonomously and be pivotal in the continued growth and success of the business.
 
This is an exciting, rewarding, and autonomous role with full P&L, operational, people management and strategic responsibility for the business. The company is part of a larger group and the role will report into the Group MD / Group Board.
 
They are looking for candidates who hold significant rounded commercial experience within a similar sized business (5-7m TO), who has a proven track record of delivering profitable growth through new product development and market positioning. Strong people skills and the ability to motivate, inspire, lead and coach an experienced professional team is essential. Key duties and responsibilities will include;
 
-Responsible for the financial performance, general and people management to facilitate profitable growth in accordance with agreed targets and budgets.
-Attending Bi-Monthly board meetings and reporting to the Group Board of Directors
-Direct budgetary and P&L responsibility for the profitability and financial controls of the business
-Identify and promote the development of new market and new product opportunities, to aid future growth of the business.
-Provide leadership to the team by setting and maintaining an inspiring direction in line with the company’s vision and strategy.
-Ensure profitable sales growth through new market and product development, including the manufacture / sourcing of consistently high-quality products.
-Develop and proactively manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, architects, consultants and customers.
-Ensure compliance to all health and safety, quality and environmental legislation and standards.
-Direct responsibility for sales, key customers and management of the sales force
 
For this role it is essential that candidates have proven senior management experience and have experience within manufacturing or engineering of specified products, with experience of overseeing the full supply chain from manufacturing / production through to the end customer.
 
Ideally candidates will have worked for a similar sized TO business or have been a divisional manager of a larger business, looking to move into a No1 role.
 
Strong management and leadership skills are essential, with the ability to motivate and direct the team. It is essential that candidates have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are skilled with key customer development.

The company offers a highly competitive package of c£120,000 including base salary of c£75,000, car allowance (£8500) and bonus scheme (c£35,000).
