 A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proven Internal Sales Manager to join a leading Safety and Workplace Supplier. Where you will help to build and establish your own Internal Sales Team, with the flexibility to be based out of the Crawley or Heathrow site.

This is an exciting new position where you will show your leadership and sales ability to maintain and grow sales and profitability of a defined portfolio of new and existing customers spending between £0 And £1m+ within designated account portfolio.  

 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Sales

·        Pro-actively contact customers within agreed customer portfolio to obtain opportunities to supply goods.

·        Provide quotes for customers to achieve agreed financial targets (Sales and Margin)

·        Project manage tender process involving all relevant areas of the business to ensure tender is financially viable and commercial risk is minimised

·        Liaise with purchasing to develop joint approaches to major prospect customers

·        Grow the value of existing customers by constantly seeking opportunities to extend volume, range and own brand offering

·        Understand the Bunzl Value proposition and tailor it to add value to customer offering and performance.

·        Prospect new customers and regain lost business

Leadership

·        Recruit, induct, train, and retain staff of the required number and calibre

·        Continuously assess direct reports against identified performance criteria

·        Ensure all training requirements are met and regularly reviewed

·        Continuously assess direct reports against identified performance criteria

·        Maintain a high level of performance and conduct in branch in line with HR policies

Customer service

·        Maintain existing business through effective customer contact including regular contact

·        Maintain price files and advise customers of increases and manage expectations to ensure business is retained

·        Work with Corporate & Local Account Managers and all branch functions to deliver highest levels of customer contact and service at all times

Finance

·        Produce a business plan for existing and new customer portfolio to achieve sales & margin budget

·        Provide regular reports as required by the management team
