Working in partnership with an independent health & safety and risk management company, I am currently recruiting for a HR Administrator to join a very successful and experienced HR team in their busy Manchester office.  The role is on a temporary basis for approximately 8-12 weeks but could go permanent for the right candidate if wanted.
 
Your role as HR Administrator will be to provide support to managers, directors, and staff on all aspects of HR, always maintaining confidentiality. This is a busy, interesting, and responsible role enabling the HR team to deliver an excellent service to the business. 
 
As the HR Administrator you will be responsible for:
 
·        Producing/checking all employment documentation, carrying out referencing of candidates and ensuring all administration tasks are carried out prior to employment commencing.
·        Preparing HR induction packs and training plans for all new starters.
·        Produce up to date job descriptions.
·        Assist in all leaver documentation - ensuring all administration tasks are completed upon receipt of a resignation.
·        Assist in the preparation of posts for the Intranet – new starters, HR news etc.
·        Assist in the administration of the fleet and healthcare provision.
·        Process expenses twice monthly.
·        Wages – printing of reports for HR Manager.
·        Deal with all aspects of HR – paternity, maternity, flexible working, probations, change of contracts, furlough letters, and produce relevant documentation as required.
·        Deal with all DBS checks.
·        Produce policies and procedures and keep staff handbook up to date.
·        Keep up to date on HR legislation.
·        Manage holiday allocations and holiday groups for the company.
·        Manage long term sickness absences.
·        Order long service awards, vouchers, flowers etc at pertinent times.
·        Attend HR meetings ensuring all actions are noted and completed.
·        Carry out administration for appraisals.
·        Record Covid 19 vaccination details for all staff.
·        Ensure that all documents are uploaded to the system.
 
The successful candidate should:
 
·        Be flexible and able to multi-task.
·        Demonstrate diplomacy when dealing with challenging situations.
·        Work closely with the management/director team.
·        Have excellent communication skills, ability to negotiate, show empathy and demonstrate resilience.
·        Attend training courses when required.
·        Any other general requirements as appropriate to the role.
 
Working hours are office based 37.5hours per week, Monday to Friday with free parking, some working from home will be considered after your training period. You will receive an equivalent hourly salary of £19,000 - £23,000 depending on your experience.
