We are assisting an established retail business with the recruitment of a HR Manager / Senior HR Advisor.
 
Working closely with the Head of HR, the role will focus on providing a rounded generalist HR service to the business, managing all operational areas of HR across 2 sites.
 
Please note, this is a seven-day operation so the HR team cover working a Saturday every 3rd week, with a day in lieu taken in the week. It is essential that candidates are able to manage this.
 
Ideally candidates will have retail or hospitality industry experience (or similar sector with blue and white collar employees) and have experience working within an SME environment.
 
Key duties and responsibilities will include.
 
-Providing a trusted and highly visible HR service to c180 employees across 2 sites (both blue and white collar employees)
-Deliver practical and compliant advice in line with HR best practice to Directors and Managers.
-Manage employee relations, performance and development in collaboration with line managers.
-Uphold, influence and coach line managers on HR policies and procedures.
-Manage and coordinate recruitment, onboarding and induction for all hires across the business, starters and leavers etc.
-Provide HR support and guidance across the full employee lifecycle.
-Responsible for processing the monthly payroll, responding to the addition of new hires, commission payments, salary changes and terminations.
-Accountable for maintaining all staff personnel records to ensure they are accurate and up to date, including HR administration and paperwork.
-Responsible for Learning & Development, including reviewing and rolling out training and mentoring initiatives.
-Assist with Health & Safety, Operations and Building Facilities.
-Working on various HR projects and initiatives with the HR Director

Candidates will need to have proven experience at this level and ideally be CIPD qualified. Strong operational HR experience is essential, with the ability to provide management experience and HR advice to the business.
