Working in partnership with an established public sector organisation we are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Reward, Recognition and Benefits to join their very successful team in Wetherby.  You will need to have proven experience in this to enable you to define and implement a new reward and recognition strategy to support all employees.
 
As the Head of Reward, Recognition and Benefits you will be required to:
 
·        Work with Head of People to develop and implement a Reward and Recognition Strategy
·        Provide expert advice to the leadership and annual remuneration processes ensuring the processes are fair and equitable and in line with the reward strategy.
·        Review and lead on the company’s approach to job evaluation to maintain consistency and fairness and assess appropriate methodologies.
·        Prepare for and participate in pay negotiations with recognised Trade Unions including collecting and analysing market data, pay modelling and the management of the Company’s annual Pay Remit with HM Treasury and the Cabinet Office
·        Ensure regular benchmarking and market related pay research is undertaken when necessary to remain competitive and an employer of choice.
·        Maintain oversight of Pension and Payroll operation and ensure reward and benefits policies are aligned with DCMS and HMRC regulations
·        Define and manage benefits proposition.
·        Develop and maintain ways to monitor and keep abreast of public service and private sector reward recognition and benefits policy and explore progressive reward arrangements.
·        Establish pay and grading frameworks to support the organisation.
 
The successful candidate should have:
 
·        A relevant CIPD or equivalent qualification with experience of implementing cost effective reward solutions.
·        Strong experience in providing a best practice performance management framework that aligns to expected behaviours and recognition strategic objectives.
·        Experience in leading the annual Performance management process and ensure it is effectively communicated to managers and staff and HR teams have a clear understanding of their role.
·        Experience in providing strategic direction and leadership on the development of People Pay & Rewards related policies.
·        Be confident and have experience in carrying out annual reward related equality audits ensuring fairness and consistency in the operation of reward recognition and benefits strategies and related policy procedures and systems.
·        Strong numeracy skills and high attention to detail
·        Up to date knowledge of benefits legislation
·        Confidence to be credible and be able to influence with authority.
 
In return you will receive a salary of £45,000 per annum for working 36 hours per week and this will be a mix of home and office working so can be flexible around you.  The company also offer free parking on site at the office, flexitime so you can build up additional time off, 25days holiday plus bank holidays and a fantastic 27% employer contribution pension scheme along with many other benefits.
