Working in partnership with a very successful health & safety company, I am currently recruiting for a Credit Control Assistant to join a very successful and experienced team in their busy Manchester office on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week.  The role is for an immediate start, initially on a temporary basis but could go permanent for the right candidate if wanted.
 
Your role as Credit Control Assistant will be to carry out all administration in relation to the Credit Control function of the business. This is a busy, interesting, and responsible role enabling the Credit Control team to deliver an excellent service to the business. 
 
As the Credit Control Assistant, you will be responsible for:
 
·        Achieving your monthly target for incoming revenue.
·        Investigate all issues around why clients have not paid and create solutions to rectify this.
·        Chase all debtors monthly and report payment dates to Team Managers
·        Ensure the correct procedure is followed for aged debt on 60 / 90 and older debtor days.
·        Reconcile the banking daily and ensure incoming cheques are posted out the same day.
·        Maintain excellent records of all conversations and actions relating to chased payment via the Xero accounts system.
·        Ensure monthly statements are accurate and sent out on time.
·        Full responsibility for the Accounts inbox and responding to emails accordingly.
·        Attend all relevant aged debt meetings with team members and report on payment dates etc.
·        Update an amend contacts, addresses, phone numbers in Xero to ensure all correspondence reaches the correct person or department.
·        Deal with all internal queries related to your role.
·        Adhere to ISO procedures.
 
The successful candidate should:
 
·        Have previous experience in a credit control or finance assistant role.
·        Be flexible and able to multi-task.
·        Work closely with colleagues and other departments.
·        Have excellent communication skills, ability to negotiate and demonstrate resilience.
·        Attend necessary training as required.
·        Any other general requirements as appropriate to the role.
 
Working hours are office based 20hours per week, 10am – 2pm Monday to Friday with free parking. You will receive an equivalent hourly salary of £21,000 - £23,000 depending on your experience.
