We are assisting a well-established global manufacturing business and they are recruiting for a HR Assistant to join the business.
 
Reporting into the HR Manager and working as part of the HR team, the role will encompass all generalist areas of HR. This role will have sole responsibility for supporting one of the European client groups, which will include all day-to-day HR support, HR advice and guidance and being the point of contact for any HR queries.
 
This is a fantastic role for a HR professional who has a good base in HR administration / Generalist HR and is now looking for the next step in their career. Key duties and responsibilities will include;
 
-Providing sole HR support to a European client group of c50 employees, whilst assisting with other UK regions (180 employees)
-Providing first line ER support, assisting managers to understand and implement policies and procedures and interpret and advise on employment law
-Maintenance of employee data in the HR system
-Give advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures and HR best practice
-Starters/Leavers/Transfers, Changes to personal data
-Coordinating and helping support the design and delivery of training needs and professional development across both technical and non-technical areas
-Assisting with devising training plans
-Recruitment and Selection Administration; Placing adverts, monitoring applications, setting up short listing and selection processes, communication with candidates
-Preparation of contracts and induction preparation
-General HR Administration
-Answering general queries, both internal and external
-Maintenance of HR files
-Provision of management information including report from the HR System
-Manage company social media pages

For this role candidates will need to have a good grounding within generalist HR either as a HR Administrator or HR assistant and hold (or be studying towards) CIPD level 3. Training will be given in the role and you will also have full support from the HR Manager and other HR team members.
 
Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be the main point of contact for your client group - so candidates must be confident and be able to manage their own workload.
 
A can-do attitude is essential, and you will be expected to work as part of a team and provide assistance to other members of the HR team when needed.
