Working in partnership with a leading global supplier of B2B products and consumables, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their very successful team based in Middlesex or nearby service centre in the South West/West London.
 
You will be an integral part of the team who will manage and co-ordinate all activities related to the procurement of goods or services for the operating company. This company is a FTSE 100 listed company and a world leader in its industry, so this is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team and company.
           
As the Purchasing Manager you will be providing essential support in several areas, including:
 
·        Negotiation of all pricing, rebates, marketing agreements, catalogue contributions, and early payment discounts
·        Sourcing, selection, benchmarking and due diligence of products and suppliers, including analysis and return of excess stock
·        Manage new product introduction process and the performance of suppliers
·        Maintain key supplier information including contract details, pricing, product specifications, unit of measure and lead times.
·        Researching market trends and identifying new products and suppliers.
·        Ensuring all allocated tenders, pricing and invoice queries are dealt with in a timely fashion
·        Ensure all necessary reports are produced for all meetings and all communication is carried out effectively
·        Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key internal stakeholders including sales, inventory, quality control and customer service
 
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
 
·        Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in similar roles, ideally within a pricing or procurement setting
·        Computer literate with strong numerical and problem-solving ability
·        Experience of negotiation within a commercial setting
·        Managing supplier relationships, including contractual requirements, requests and concerns and protect those relationships whilst managing performance against objectives.
·        Proactively communicate with stakeholders and present written information clearly and accurately.
·        Be able to prioritise effectively and manage your own workload, goals, and timelines as appropriate
·        Recognise the need for collaboration and be open to and adapt well to change
·        Taking responsibility for developing your own abilities
 
In return you will receive a competitive and negotiable salary determined by your experience, 10% company & individual performance related bonus, 28 days annual leave and a fantastic working environment.  Working hours are primarily office based 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday but some home working would be available too.
