Role

To work as part of the HR Team providing a responsive support to line management in the effective implementation and ongoing operational support for people related practices and procedures to ensure the delivery of HR and business objectives.

To champion human-focused and user-friendly approaches which can flex with business needs – using the HR service provision to helps us to attract, retain, reward, and support our employees in the very best way possible.

- To oversee the monthly payroll collation from allocated business units, ensuring that all new starter, leaver, and change information has been accounted for
- To support global mobility within allocated business units, to ensure that visas and work permits are handled efficiently and with attention to detail for our employees needing to travel internationally. To provide HR input on visa and business letter requirements for (prospective) employees coming into the UK to work for ITM
- To work with HR BPs to support the provision of effective HR services with key departments across the business
- To work with other members of the HR team to deliver key HR projects

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile and high-performing HR team accustomed to driving innovative solutions
- Experience of operational HR advisory delivery and providing enhanced solutions
- Experience of managing operational ER issues
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and confident with HR information systems
- Experience of collating payroll information preferred but not essential
- Level 5 CIPD or equivalent is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

Operational HR Support
- To provide operational HR advisory support across allocated functions, being the day-to-day contact for line managers and employees. This would be guided and supported by the HR BP.
- To provide operational ER advice and guidance across allocated functions. To be actively able to handle key ER processes such as changes to working arrangements (consultations), investigations, counselling meetings and HR presence at disciplinary and grievance meetings.
- To flag any strategic HR matters within allocated functions to the relevant HR BP or Head of HR.
- To assist with aspects of workforce planning and performance management across the corporate functions.
- To support HR Business Partners with various Employee Relations cases, for example grievance, disciplinary, absence review and performance/capability review. This may include leading investigations or chairing hearings as required.
- Support line managers in with day-to-day matters relating to the employee lifecycle.
- To deliver people-related training courses and webinars for managers across the business.
- Support the wider HR team with employee communications and HR system maintenance as required.
- To provide ad-hoc support to the HR Business Partner when further capacity is needed and for holiday cover.
- To support the preparation of HR related comms – internal newsletter, web content, notice boards and campaigns.
- To deliver the HR Inductions as required each month.
- Working with the HR Assistants, manage the digitisation of the HR records in compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Providing accurate data upon request to key internal stakeholders.
- Support the ongoing learning and development of the HR Assistants.

Health & Wellbeing
- To support the delivery of our wellbeing plan, ensuring we deliver our initiatives around stress management, mental health, physical and emotional health – to include bi-monthly focus projects and communications.
- Support HR BPs with individual case management through occupational health and GP intervention.
- Manage the provision for DSE users eyecare vouchers.

Projects
- To work with HR BP / Head of HR on specialist project areas – these may include policies and compliance, recruitment and selection, employee engagement and learning and development.
