Our client is a leading Independent Broker in North London who has been trading for over 50 years is seeking a new Head of Broking & Commercial for the office. You would have Manage a team of 15 in the Commercial Division who handle all cross class general commercial Insurance Business from SME to Corporate

Overview of the position  

•                     Provide excellent customer service and sales support  

•                     Provide excellent broking support where required

•                     Ensure new initiatives for securing new business are adopted and successfully implemented within the branches/sales offices. Actively engage in the company marketing strategy. Work in conjunction with the Account Executives

•                     Ensure the branch achieves the required rate of retention.

•                     Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and always promote exceptional                         customer care standards

•                     Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and ensure expert advice in all areas of business worked

•                     Initiate and maintain successful professional relationships with external bodies to improve and enhance the services provided.

•                     Develop and maintain effective and valuable relationships with insurers and underwriters for the benefit of the company and its clients.

•                     To ensure regular and effective communication within your teams and with other directors

Knowledge/experience

•                     Proven successful management in a volume insurance environment

•                     An insurance background with broking knowledge.

•                     Proven management ability.

•                     Excellent technical knowledge.

•                     Good academic qualifications, CII Qualifications desirable  

•                     Experience within a similar role.
