We are assisting a well-respected and leading global architectural and engineering firm, based in South London, with the recruitment of a HR Advisor. This is an exciting and varied role, working as part of an established HR team and is to start ASAP.
 
Reporting into the HR Manager, the role will be responsible for providing a comprehensive generalist HR and advisory support service to a client group of c400 employees. Key duties and responsibilities will include;
 
-Reporting into the HR Manager, working as part of a team of 7 within the Central Generalist HR team, responsible for providing HR support to a specific client group of c400 employees (with the assistance of a dedicated HR Administrator)
-Support managers with all areas of Employee Relations, including managing absence and sickness and day to day ER matters
-Provide support to managers on performance, including manage and administer probationary periods and annual appraisals.
-Support and manage on a range of ER issues such as reorganisations, redundancies, disciplinaries and grievances, including coaching and advising managers, and managing cases from start to finish. Including leading on meetings and managing through to -outcomes, ensuring the Head of HR is updated on all contentious issues
-Support and advise on HR policies, procedures and HR best practice, ensuring HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with UK Employment law and Company requirements
-Provide an efficient and effective recruitment service including sourcing, interview support/coaching, supplier management etc
-Oversee the production of contracts and agreements to ensure they are legally compliant and service organisational requirements
-Advise on salaries and reward packages, with involvement on salary and benefits benchmarking.
-Oversee global mobility of employees including work permit and visa applications and right to work.
-Provide support with starters and leavers - lead and deliver inductions, manage an effective onboarding process, oversee the leaver process including leaving confirmations, calculating holiday balances, updating HR systems, and conducting exit meetings
-Support with training, advising on appropriate learning and development solutions for the business
-Manage and administer the various benefit schemes including annual reviews, salary review and family friendly policies
-Prepare and provide key HRIS information, including statistical analysis and reports
-Support the HR Manager and Head of HR on key projects, including Employee Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion, Absence Management and updating and reviewing HR policies
-Mentor HR Assistants, and provide development opportunities
-Maintenance of HR procedures, HR templates and KPIs, maintenance of HR database, records, and systems

For this role candidates will need to hold proven experience at this level, ideally hold CIPD Level 5 and have supported client groups of a similar size. Candidates from all industries will be considered, although candidates from an architectural, engineering / construction consultancy or creative sectors would be desirable.
 
Proven generalist HR experience is essential, with the ability to coach, advise and support managers with all ER and HR advisory matters, including providing an effective business partnering HR service to the client group. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in an agile and fast paced environment is essential.
